Introduction
This year, I will be sending email messages twice a month sharing tips and processes I have learned over my 25 plus years as an organization consultant and executive coach. I welcome your comments, suggestions, and questions.
Topics
The topics come from my experience with clients, i.e., some of the top of the list areas for consideration such as:
• Succession Planning
• Talent Selection and Retention…
• Handling stress
• Productivity and Time Management
• Organization Alignment
• Self Management
• Critical interpersonal skills … and more
Next
The next email will be the first in a series about succession planning – often overlooked and more important than most might think. The series will include steps in a succession planning process. If you miss one of the installments, there will be a way for you to fill in the gap by clicking on a link in the email.
The assumption is that there is an incumbent who is anticipating and preparing for succession. The succession planning process can also be used for filling a vacant position.
I will be introducing several tools that take the guesswork our of succession planning and increase success in accurate placement and development.
Meantime, you can be thinking about this: What job in your organization would create the biggest challenge if the incumbent were unable to continue in the job? What would be the challenge if YOU could not continue in your job?
